fr americas clean sweep for hedge

Callum Hedge has taken the lead of the 2023 Formula Regional Americas championship, after a dominate display at Road America over the weekend.

Hedge was in unstoppable form, qualifying on pole by nearly a second, before going on to win all three races at the Wisconsin circuit.

Following a mixed opening round that saw him lose valuable points with mechanical problems, his Road America results have launched him into the series lead after two of six rounds.

Backed by Giltrap Group, the Tony Quinn Foundation and Tasman Motorsport Group, Hedge’s dominance was clear, leading every lap, lights to flag.

“It’s great to get the three wins and show the real potential we have over here in the states. It’s a long way from home, and to be able to perform over here is a really cool feeling, and it’s awesome to repay all those who backed me to get to this point”, said Hedge

“I wouldn’t be here without the help of the Tony Quinn Foundation and Giltrap Group, and I just can’t thank them enough for their faith in me.

June will be a massive month - heading back to Australia for Porsche Carrera Cup in Darwin with Team Porsche New Zealand Earl Bamber Motorsport, and then Monday night we jump on the plane back over to America for Round 3.

It’s going to be busy, but I’m living my dream driving race cars, so I’ll make sure I’m at my best.”

The next round of the Formula Regional Championship will be held at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Ohio, but before then, Hedge will return to Australia for Round 2 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship in Darwin on June 16-18.
